Japanese September 25-26, 2003: Kyushu Block meeting |
|
Kyushu Block meeting starts soon. Over 140 members including 20 group leaders joined the meeting.
We checked each other on the activities and confirmed how to progress the group after today. In lunch break, a friendship sales shop was opened in the main lobby. Our Oita group sold dried mushroom, one of Oita's special products, and sweet fried cookie. |
|
In the afternoon, the common theme "Thinking about the environment, how to reduce carbon dioxide emission." Each group appealed what they have been doing in their home grounds.
Fukuoka branch boasts of its largest population. The CO2 emission of each home was displayed on the diagrams sorted by the number of the family.
Some stressed that the emission depends upon the life style rather than the family number. |
|
Kumamoto group served the tea break with their home made Japanese cookies. They were really wonderful and made our heart relaxed.
Females' Friend Publisher cerebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Two members talked about their experiences saying they were brought up by the publisher’s magazines.

The first day was over successfully. A young member of Kumamoto branch taught us a light exercise in the end of the long hour meeting.
The second day I took a walk around before breakfast. |
|
As I hadn7t enough time to visit Kumamoto castle and I took a picture from the distance.
The hotel faces "Chiba castle park." Musashi Miyamoto spent his last days here, they say.
NHK Kumamoto radio station stands after the castle.
The second day started with the discussion on kids rearing, family budget, and family account study class. |
|
Three slogans will be hoisted in each site this year. In Kyushu block, many study classes will be held like this. |
|
The meeting was over after 20 groups in the block discussed and exchanged the opinions. We promised to develop this time meeting in each district. "Toward real reasonable life" will be the common target this year. The meeting was over after all.
