Japanese May 31, 2002: May life study meeting
	After singing a hymn, we read some lines on "Shopping" from Family Budget written by the founder Motoko Hani.
We newly confirmed the importance of keeping account books through the study of family budgets gathered from all around national, Kyushu, and Oita blocks last year.
	The diagram is a summary of 11,891 families. It shows various kind of analysis based on local and generation.
Enlarged diagrams are used for easy explanation.
	Munakata Group is in charge of the presentation today. They reported about the improvement of dry food storage. Active discussions deepen the comprehension.
Actual dry foods are shown for explanation. The stem of dried Shiitake mushroom is removed to save the space of storage. They are dried under the shade and stored in an air tight bin to protect from humidity
	The participants fill in the questionnaire of "Think about environment friendly life." It is very important to recognize the environment and we will give the questionnaire on every meeting from now on.
In this season each year, Oita Group of Friends studies about how to give proper starch to the washed cloths. A spoonful CMC starch powder and 200 cc water make gelatin-like paste after leaving for an overnight. It is used after diluting with water. We could learned much this time as well.
